The Americas Sub-Regional Qualifier is part of the pathway to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2028. In a remarkable display of skill and teamwork, the Cayman Islands have emerged victorious, winning all six of their matches in the qualifier.
Throughout the tournament, the Cayman Islands showcased their dominance by restricting their opponents—Argentina, Mexico, and Suriname—to under 100 runs in five of their matches. This defensive prowess was complemented by their batting strength, as they lost only two wickets across three successful chases.
In their opening match, the Cayman Islands achieved a commanding 10-wicket victory over Argentina, setting the tone for their campaign.
