Hyderabad is experiencing weather changes with expected showers and thunderstorms over the next few days. The IMD has issued alerts for the region.
Hyderabad is currently facing a shift in weather patterns, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting showers and thunderstorms in the region over the next few days. This development comes as a major weather system impacts several parts of India, bringing widespread rain and strong winds.
Despite the forecast, Hyderabad largely remained dry throughout the day, while thunderstorms affected surrounding districts. The IMD has issued a thunderstorm alert across multiple districts, warning residents of potential lightning and gusty winds, with speeds reaching up to 50 km/h.
According to the IMD, isolated places in Hyderabad and nearby areas are likely to experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning. Rainfall activity is expected to persist in parts of Telangana until Friday evening, providing some relief from the rising temperatures.
The maximum temperature in Hyderabad is projected to be around 32°C, while the minimum is expected to drop to approximately 21°C. This temperature drop of 3–4°C is anticipated due to the incoming rain.
As the weather system continues to evolve, the IMD has placed 14 districts in Telangana under a thunderstorm alert, emphasizing the need for residents to stay vigilant.
Local meteorological officials noted, “Hyderabad and surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see a partly cloudy sky.” This indicates that while rain is expected, there will also be periods of cloud cover.
While the rain has provided some relief from the heat, it has also raised concerns among residents regarding potential disruptions and safety issues associated with thunderstorms.
In summary, the weather in Hyderabad is changing, with forecasts indicating showers and thunderstorms in the coming days. Residents are advised to stay updated on weather alerts and take necessary precautions.
