Manali weather is changing, with fresh snowfall and rain expected until March 17. Districts are on alert for stormy conditions and temperature drops.

Manali Weather Update

Manali weather is set to experience fresh snowfall and rain until March 17, as a new western disturbance approaches the region. Districts including Shimla, Kullu, Mandi, Kangra, and Chamba are currently on alert for stormy conditions, with yellow alerts issued due to the potential for thunderstorms, hail, lightning, and gusty winds.

On March 12, Shimla recorded a minimum temperature of 13.6°C, while Dharamsala and Manali reported minimums of 12.8°C and 11.2°C, respectively. In contrast, Una emerged as the hottest spot in the state with a maximum temperature of 33.2°C, and Tabo in Lahaul-Spiti recorded the coldest minimum temperature at 1.4°C.

Despite light showers in the higher hills over the past 24 hours, most areas remained dry. However, observers expect a brief dry spell on March 13 in the low and mid-hills before the weather turns again. The anticipated western disturbance is expected to trigger rain and snow across the state from March 14 onwards.

As temperatures are projected to dip, minimums are likely to fall by 2°C to 4°C and maximums by 3°C to 5°C. This shift in weather patterns reflects the ongoing changes in Himachal Pradesh’s climate, which have been increasingly noted in recent years.

Residents and travelers in the region are advised to stay updated on weather forecasts and prepare for the impending stormy conditions. Details remain unconfirmed regarding the exact impact of the upcoming weather changes, but authorities are monitoring the situation closely.
