Oil marketing companies have increased the prices of non-subsidised domestic LPG gas cylinders by ₹60 across metropolitan cities in India. The new price for a 14.2 kilogram gas cylinder has risen from ₹853 to ₹913 in Delhi.
In Mumbai, the revised rates for LPG cylinders will now be ₹912.50, while in Kolkata, consumers will pay ₹939. Chennai residents will see a new price of ₹928.50 for the same cylinder size.
The increase in prices is not limited to domestic cylinders; rates for commercial LPG gas cylinders have also been raised by ₹115. These revised prices have come into effect from today.
This price hike is attributed to increased energy prices due to the conflict in West Asia, which has impacted global oil markets. The last significant increase in the price of domestic cooking gas occurred on March 7, 2026, when it was hiked by ₹60 per cylinder.
