Fancode: Major Milestone as FanCode Secures ISL Broadcasting Rights

The All-India Football Federation announced that FanCode has secured exclusive global broadcasting rights for the Indian Super League, set to begin on February 14, 2026. This partnership aims to enhance the fan experience and broaden the league’s reach across India.

On Monday, the All-India Football Federation (AIFF) revealed that FanCode, a streaming service, has obtained the television and digital broadcasting rights for the Indian Super League (ISL).

A statement released by the AIFF noted, “On Monday, February 2, 2026, the interim Managing Committee of the Indian Super League (ISL) along with the RFQ committee appointed the Broadcast and Production partners for the ISL 2025-26 season, set to commence on February 14. The media rights RFQ was issued on January 18, 2026, with bids due by February 1, 2026.”

“FanCode, a subsidiary of Dream Sports, has secured the exclusive global broadcasting rights for the Indian Super League (ISL), representing a major advancement in enhancing access to Indian football for supporters nationwide. The production of the league will be managed by Kaleidoscope Production and Services (KPS Studios),” the statement noted.

Through this acquisition, FanCode aims to provide a digital-first viewing experience tailored for ISL enthusiasts.

M Satyanarayan, the Deputy Secretary General of AIFF, stated, “We are delighted to have finalized the media rights agreement for ISL and to collaborate with FanCode, a prominent sports platform in India. FanCode’s commitment to enhancing accessibility and improving the fan experience resonates with our goal of broadening the league’s reach and engaging a larger audience of football enthusiasts nationwide.”

FanCode Secures Exclusive Rights

Yannick Colaco, co-founder of FanCode, remarked, “The Indian Super League is a remarkable addition to FanCode as it showcases the pinnacle of Indian football. Given the league’s dedicated and passionate fan base, we recognize a significant opportunity to enhance the way fans engage with ISL through dependable, top-notch broadcasts and a product tailored for contemporary football enthusiasts. This aligns with the broader vision of Dream Sports group to improve the sports experience.”

According to ESPN, AIFF previously revealed provisional schedules for the forthcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL).

The 2025-26 ISL season is scheduled to commence in Kolkata on February 14, featuring Mohun Bagan going up against Kerala Blasters in the opening match of the tournament.

Impact on Indian Football Fans

According to the provisional ISL schedule, a total of 91 matches are set to take place during the ISL tournament, culminating in the grand finale on May 17, where all seven matches in the final week will occur at the same time.

As reported by ESPN, the fixture schedule from the AIFF remains provisional, issued as part of clarifications addressing inquiries from potential bidders for the federation’s broadcast rights RFP.

On January 6, Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Sports Minister, announced that the Indian Super League (ISL) is set to commence on February 14. He also mentioned that all 14 participating clubs have consented to compete in this season’s ISL.

Upcoming ISL Season Details

“We have made the decision for the ISL to commence on February 14, Saturday, with all our clubs taking part,” Mansukh Mandaviya informed the media. “Football has made significant strides in the nation. The country excels in football. The League provides an opportunity for the nation to develop talented players. With this objective, the ISL will take place,” he further stated.

Prior to the announcement, the AIFF convened an Emergency Committee meeting, indicating that the dates for the ISL would be revealed shortly. The Emergency Committee gathered to review and acknowledge the findings presented by the AIFF-ISL Coordination Committee.

The Coordination Committee was established on December 20, 2025, after deliberations during the AIFF Executive Committee meeting and the following Annual General Meeting.

The Coordination Committee was responsible for delivering its report to the AIFF Secretariat by January 2, which was successfully achieved. The AIFF Emergency Committee officially recognized the report and suggested that the AIFF proceed with the league.
