The Conservancy of Southwest Florida is set to host its annual Earth Day Festival on April 18, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This festival will feature wildlife encounters, games, exhibits, and boat rides, providing an interactive experience for attendees.
Rob Moher, a representative of the Conservancy, emphasized the importance of the festival, stating, “The Earth Day Festival allows us to showcase our vital work to protect Southwest Florida’s natural resources to the hundreds of community members and educate them about how they can be part of that mission.” The first 300 attendees will receive a free gift, adding an incentive for early arrivals.
During the festival, a groundbreaking ceremony for the John & Carol Walter Nature Experience will take place at 11 a.m. This nature experience is expected to open in 2028 and aims to enhance community interaction with the natural environment.
On April 19, 2026, the city of Broomfield will host its own Earth Day celebration, which will include a seed swap, tool swap, and a bike repair station. Volunteers are needed for the tool swap and general event support, highlighting the community’s involvement in these initiatives.
Finally, on April 22, 2026, the Chan Centre Concert Hall in Vancouver will feature an event with Suzanne Simard, focusing on the relationship between forests and ecological urgency.
