In a commanding performance, India set a formidable target of 256 runs for New Zealand, who ultimately fell short, bowled out for 159 runs in just 19 overs. Jasprit Bumrah was instrumental in the victory, earning the Player of the Match award for his outstanding bowling performance, which included taking 4 wickets.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a generous bonus of $14.24 million for the victorious team, reflecting their remarkable achievement. This victory comes with a total prize money of $11.25 million for the tournament, with India receiving an additional $2.34 million for their win.
