This announcement comes as more than 43 lakh students eagerly await their results, which may be declared anytime after the second week of April.
In a notable shift, CBSE has introduced a two-phase examination format for Class 10 this year, a first in its history. This change aims to provide students with greater flexibility and opportunities to succeed. The Class 10 exams concluded on March 11, 2026, and schools have been instructed to upload internal marks between April 8 and April 17, ensuring that the results can be processed efficiently.
With 25 lakh Class 10 students waiting for their results, the early timeline for the announcement is being linked to the upcoming second phase of exams scheduled in May. This proactive approach by CBSE is designed to maintain a smooth transition into the next academic phase, allowing students to focus on their studies without unnecessary delays.
CBSE conducted the Class 10 exams at 8,074 centres, while the Class 12 exams took place at 7,574 centres, accommodating a total of 18.5 lakh students.
