The 2027 Honda City facelift has been spotted testing in Brazil and is expected to launch in India before Diwali 2026, bringing several updates.
The Honda City has long been a popular choice among Indian consumers, known for its blend of style, comfort, and performance. As the automotive market evolves, manufacturers often refresh their models to maintain competitiveness. The 2027 Honda City facelift is intended to keep the existing model fresh until the next-generation model arrives in 2028.
Recently, the 2027 Honda City facelift was spotted testing in Brazil, signaling that preparations for its launch are underway. The facelift is expected to debut in India before Diwali 2026, a strategic timing to attract festive buyers.
Key updates in the facelift include a revised grille, new bumpers, and updated headlamps, which are designed to enhance the vehicle’s aesthetic appeal. Additionally, the interior is set to feature an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), aligning with modern consumer expectations for technology and safety.
Despite these cosmetic and technological upgrades, the engine lineup will remain the same, featuring a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine that produces around 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque. Mileage figures are expected to remain similar to the current model, with the petrol manual variant delivering around 17–18 kmpl.
Pricing for the facelift is anticipated to see a slight increase compared to the current model, with the starting price expected to be around ₹12 lakh. The hybrid variant is projected to be priced between ₹18–20 lakh, catering to the growing demand for eco-friendly vehicles.
Moreover, the updated model will comply with E20 fuel compatibility and BS6 emission norms, ensuring it meets current environmental standards.
While the Brazilian version is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2026, details remain unconfirmed regarding the exact launch date in India and specific feature additions.
As the automotive landscape continues to shift, the 2027 Honda City facelift aims to solidify its position against competitors like the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus, which are also vying for market share in this segment.
