The JEE Mains admit card for 2026 is set to be released shortly before the exam dates. Here’s what candidates need to know.
The question on many candidates’ minds is: when will the JEE Mains admit card for 2026 be available? The answer is that the admit cards will be released 3–4 days prior to the exam, which is scheduled to take place from April 2 to April 9, 2026.
To access their admit cards, candidates will need to visit the official portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The city intimation slip was already released on March 22, 2026, providing candidates with important information about their exam location.
It is essential for candidates to have their application number and date of birth handy to successfully download the admit card. The document will contain critical details such as the exam date, shift timing, and test center address, all of which are vital for exam day.
The JEE Mains 2026 will be conducted in dual shifts: the morning session from 9 am to 12 noon and the afternoon session from 3 pm to 6 pm. Over 10 lakh candidates are expected to appear for this exam, making it one of the largest engineering entrance assessments in India.
In addition to the admit card, candidates must also carry a valid photo ID to the examination hall. The official live link to download the admit card will be activated shortly before the exams, ensuring that all candidates can access their documents in time.
If candidates encounter any issues while downloading their admit cards, they are advised to check their credentials and ensure their network connectivity is stable. It is also worth noting that the city intimation slip is not required on the exam day.
The JEE Main 2026 session 1 was held in January 2026, and the upcoming session is anticipated to follow a similar structure. Approximately 2.5 lakh candidates are expected to qualify for the JEE Advanced from this session.
As the exam dates approach, candidates are encouraged to stay updated on any announcements from the National Testing Agency (NTA) regarding the admit card release and other important instructions. Details remain unconfirmed regarding any last-minute changes to the exam format or schedule.
