Nepal secured a convincing 42-run victory against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2, marking a significant step in their quest to retain One Day International (ODI) status. After winning the toss, Nepal posted a total of 229 runs, setting a challenging target for the UAE.
Bhim Sarki was the standout performer for Nepal, scoring 70 runs, while Aarif Sheikh contributed a valuable 43 runs to the team’s total. The Nepalese innings showcased a mix of resilience and strategic batting, which ultimately proved decisive in the match.
In response, the UAE struggled to build momentum and was all out for 187 runs in 45 overs.
