With the introduction of the On-Screen Marking system, students can expect an earlier announcement of their CBSE Class 12 results. Find out how to access your marksheet via DigiLocker and UMANG app.
The introduction of the On-Screen Marking system is expected to expedite the announcement of the CBSE Class 12 results, potentially leading to an earlier release than in previous years. So, how can students check their CBSE Class 12 result for 2026 on DigiLocker and the UMANG app? The answer is straightforward: students will be able to access their results online through these platforms once they are officially released.
CBSE conducted the Class 12 examinations from February 17 to April 10, 2026. Typically, results are announced in May. However, due to the new OSM system designed to speed up evaluations, students might see their results as early as April 30, 2026. This change aims to improve accuracy and reduce delays associated with manual assessment.
Students can check their results on official websites like cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, or cbseresults.nic.in. Additionally, they can download their digital marksheets via DigiLocker and the UMANG app. To use DigiLocker, students must log in using their Aadhaar number or registered mobile number. For the UMANG app, logging in requires only a mobile number.
Before checking their results, students should have their roll number, school number, and admit card credentials at hand. This preparation will streamline the process when results are announced. The digital checking process represents a significant shift in how students access their academic information—it’s akin to having instant access to your bank statement rather than waiting for it in the mail.
The last year’s Class 10 result was declared on April 15 for over 24 million candidates, with an overall pass percentage of 88.39 percent. Such statistics highlight the scale of CBSE’s operations and the importance of timely results for students preparing for higher education.
Once the results are published, students can download their digital marksheets immediately. However, original certificates will still be issued through schools after the announcement. This dual approach ensures that while digital access is prioritized for convenience, formal documentation remains intact.
As we approach late April, one question lingers: Will this year’s changes lead to a smoother experience for students? With officials implementing new systems aimed at efficiency and accuracy, many hope for a positive outcome. Students should stay alert for updates regarding their results.
