Amit Shah’s Visit to Haridwar
On a significant day for Haridwar, Uttarakhand, Amit Shah inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth over Rs 1,129 crore. This event marks a crucial investment in the region aimed at enhancing infrastructure and public services.
During the event, Shah handed over appointment letters to 2,000 police constables, reinforcing the government’s commitment to bolstering law enforcement in the state. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to improve public safety and security.
In a notable gesture, Amit Shah presented citizenship certificates to five Hindu families who had fled religious persecution. This move is part of a larger effort, as 153 refugees from Pakistan and Afghanistan living in Uttarakhand have been granted Indian citizenship, with 147 from Pakistan and 6 from Afghanistan.
Shah also launched the e-Zero FIR system in Uttarakhand, designed to assist victims of financial cyber fraud involving amounts exceeding Rs 1 lakh. This system aims to streamline the process of reporting such crimes and enhance the efficiency of the State Cyber Police.
Complaints received through the 1930 helpline will be registered as e-Zero FIRs at the State Cyber Police Station in Dehradun, providing a much-needed resource for victims of cybercrime.
During his address, Amit Shah emphasized the need for the voice of the people of Uttarakhand to reach Delhi, stating, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” to rally support for the initiatives being undertaken.
Shah also criticized opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, asserting that Gandhi opposes every government decision due to a perceived negativity. He highlighted the achievements of the Dhami government, which had removed around 10,000 encroachments in the state, showcasing the government’s proactive stance on urban management.
This sequence of events underscores the government’s focus on development, security, and addressing the needs of marginalized communities in Uttarakhand. The initiatives launched during Shah’s visit are expected to have a lasting impact on the region.
