The UPPCS 2024 results have been announced, showcasing a notable representation of women among the top candidates and a high success rate.
The announcement of the UPPCS 2024 results has significant implications, particularly highlighting the success of female candidates in a traditionally male-dominated field. Neha Panchal topped the examination, followed closely by Ananya Trivedi in second place and Abhay Pratap Singh in third. This year’s results are particularly noteworthy as six women feature in the top ten candidates, reflecting a growing trend of female representation in civil services.
Out of a total of 947 vacant posts, 932 have been filled, with 613 men and 319 women selected. The success rate for women in this examination stands at an impressive 34.22%, indicating a positive shift towards gender equality in public service roles.
The preliminary examination for UPPCS 2024 took place on December 22, 2024, with a record 241,359 candidates participating. The mains examination followed from June 29 to July 2, 2025, and the final results were declared on March 29, 2026, after interviews conducted from February 16 to March 20, 2026.
Ashok Kumar, a spokesperson for the commission, stated, “Information regarding candidates’ marks and category-wise/post-wise cut-off marks will soon be published on the Commission’s website.” This transparency is expected to provide further insights into the selection process.
Historically, the UPPCS examinations have faced challenges, including protests in November 2024 when aspirants demanded that the preliminary examination be conducted in a single day due to a paper leak incident. Such events have underscored the need for reforms and greater integrity in the examination process.
As the results are celebrated, the focus now shifts to the implications for future examinations and the ongoing efforts to ensure fairness and accessibility in the selection process. Details remain unconfirmed regarding any changes that may be implemented in response to the recent challenges faced by candidates.
