Reports regarding Mohamed Salah’s potential move to Besiktas have been denied by his agent, Ramy Abbas Issa. Speculation had suggested that the former Liverpool forward was close to joining the Turkish club. However, Issa clarified that no decision has been made about Salah’s future.
Salah concluded his nine-year tenure at Anfield after agreeing with Liverpool to cancel his contract at the end of last season. During his time with the Reds, Salah, who arrived from Roma in 2017, achieved significant success, including winning the Champions League, two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the Club World Cup, and the Community Shield.
He made 315 Premier League appearances for Liverpool, placing him fifth in the club’s all-time list for the competition. Salah is also one of only 10 players to have been both the leading goalscorer and top assister for a club in the Premier League, having scored 191 goals in the competition.
Salah’s Future and Other Transfer Rumours
Issa addressed the recent reports on social media platform X, stating, “I personally do not know where Mohamed will play next season. What does that tell you?” He also previously posted, “It is not our style to have discussions with clubs that Mohamed wouldn’t want to play for, just for the sake of noise.” These statements came after widespread reports on Friday indicated an agreement with Besiktas.
Salah has been frequently linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League in recent years. His financial demands are reportedly a factor, with some Saudi clubs said to be hesitant due to the Egypt international’s requests.
Recently, Salah captained Egypt to the round of 16 at the World Cup, where they were defeated 3-2 by Argentina. Egypt had held a 2-0 lead until the 79th minute of that match.

European and Other Club Interests
In other transfer news, Bayern Munich has reportedly informed Real Madrid that Michael Olise, their France forward, is not available for transfer this summer. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund’s Germany attacker Karim Adeyemi is reportedly set to join Barcelona.
Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly competing for the signature of RB Leipzig and Netherlands defender Lutsharel Geertruida, who spent last season on loan at Sunderland. Manchester City and Tottenham are said to be interested in Portuguese winger Francisco Trincao, who could be moving to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli from Sporting.
Barcelona is reportedly planning to intensify their pursuit of Atletico Madrid and Argentina forward Julian Alvarez after the conclusion of this summer’s World Cup. Hull City has reportedly made a bid for Mjallby midfielder and Swedish World Cup star Elliot Stroud.
Manchester United is reportedly looking to sign two additional midfielders after finalizing a deal for Chelsea and Brazil international Andrey Santos. Greece centre-back Konstantinos Mavropanos, who had an impressive season at relegated West Ham, is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs and teams across Europe.
Como is reportedly hoping to sign Colombia defender Davison Sanchez, but Galatasaray’s asking price could be a hurdle. Manchester United is also in search of a goalkeeper to compete with Belgian Senne Lammens, and Paraguay’s Orlando Gill from Argentine side San Lorenzo is understood to be a potential target.
Newcastle United’s chances of acquiring England goalkeeper James Trafford from Manchester City have reportedly increased, as Aston Villa, a potential rival for his signature, is keen to retain their number one goalkeeper, Argentine Emiliano Martinez. However, Chelsea is also reportedly interested in Trafford. New Benfica boss Marco Silva is reportedly looking to sign his former Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha, who was on loan at Tottenham last season from Bayern Munich.
