రైలు: What Are the New Summer Special Trains in Bengaluru?

Bengaluru has introduced special summer trains to accommodate the rising number of travelers during vacation season. Here are the details.

As the summer vacation season approaches, Bengaluru is witnessing a surge in passenger demand for train travel. In response, the Indian Railways has introduced a series of special trains aimed at accommodating the increased number of travelers.

The special trains will operate from two key stations in Bengaluru: SMVT and Yeshvantpur. These trains will connect passengers to various destinations, including Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal, catering to the needs of families and students traveling during the holiday period.

One of the notable services is Train number 07153, which operates weekly from Narsapur to SMVT Bengaluru until May 29. Conversely, Train number 07154 runs weekly from SMVT Bengaluru to Narsapur until May 30, ensuring a consistent flow of travel options for passengers.

In addition, Train numbers 06579/06580 and 06549/06550 are scheduled to operate from Yeshvantpur and SMVT to Danapur throughout April. This service is particularly significant for travelers heading to Bihar.

For those heading towards Katihar, Train number 06571/06572 will operate weekly from Yeshvantpur until July 14, providing extended travel options for the summer months.

Moreover, Train number 06557 will run from Yeshvantpur to Santragachi every Friday until April 24, offering another convenient route for passengers traveling to West Bengal.

Travelers are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance, as the demand for these special trains is expected to be high. Booking can be done through the IRCTC website or at railway reservation counters, ensuring a smooth travel experience.

The introduction of these special trains is a proactive measure by the Indian Railways to meet the needs of the public during a peak travel season. This initiative not only facilitates travel for families and students but also supports the local economy by enhancing connectivity.

As the summer progresses, the performance and demand for these trains will likely be closely monitored to determine if additional services may be needed in the future.
