NTPC Graduate Exam Dates Announced
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially announced that the NTPC Graduate Exam will take place from March 16 to March 27, 2026. This examination is a significant opportunity for candidates seeking employment in various sectors under the NTPC umbrella, with a total of 5810 vacancies available across India.
The Computer Based Test (CBT 1) will be conducted at various exam centres nationwide, ensuring accessibility for all candidates. The exam is designed to assess candidates’ knowledge and skills through a series of questions, with a total of 100 questions to be answered within a duration of 90 minutes.
In preparation for the exam, candidates will be required to undergo Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication at the exam centres prior to entry. This measure aims to enhance the integrity of the examination process. Additionally, candidates can download their E-Call Letters starting four days before the exam date, providing them with essential information regarding their exam centres and timings.
The structure of the CBT 1 exam includes 40 questions in General Awareness, 30 questions in Mathematics, and 30 questions in General Intelligence & Reasoning. This comprehensive approach ensures that candidates are evaluated on a broad range of competencies relevant to the positions they are applying for.
In a related development, the change of Registrar and Share Transfer Agent (RTA) for NTPC has been completed, with the outgoing RTA being KFin Technologies Limited and the incoming RTA being Beetal Financial & Computer Services Pvt. Ltd. This transition was finalized on March 5, 2026, and the notification regarding this change was made public on March 6, 2026.
This change follows earlier disclosures made by NTPC on November 11, 2025, and February 4, 2026, indicating a strategic move to enhance operational efficiency. The tripartite agreement for the RTA change was signed on March 5, 2026, marking a new chapter for NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited.
As the exam dates approach, candidates are encouraged to prepare thoroughly and stay updated on any further announcements from the RRB. The official statements regarding the exam and the RTA transition reflect NTPC’s commitment to transparency and efficiency in its operations.
