Hyundai Verna Facelift Launched in India
The 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift has been launched in India, marking a significant update in the competitive sedan market. With a price range between Rs 10.98 lakh and Rs 18.25 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Verna aims to attract buyers looking for modern features and performance.
This updated model is available in six variants: HX2, HX4, HX6, HX6+, HX8, and HX10. It introduces two new color options, Classy Blue and Titan Grey Matte, enhancing its aesthetic appeal.
Under the hood, the Verna offers two engine options: a 1.5 litre NA petrol engine producing 115 hp and 144 Nm of torque, and a more powerful 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine delivering 160 hp and 253 Nm of torque. This range of options caters to different driving preferences and needs.
Safety features have also been upgraded, with the new Verna equipped with a Level-2 ADAS suite and seven airbags, ensuring a higher standard of protection for occupants. The interior boasts dual 10.25-inch screens and a new D-cut steering wheel, providing a modern and tech-savvy driving experience.
Additional features include a powered tailgate and a built-in dashcam, which are becoming increasingly popular among consumers. The trunk capacity has been noted at 528 litres, making it practical for everyday use.
The Hyundai Verna facelift competes directly with other popular models in the segment, including the Honda City, VW Virtus, and Skoda Slavia. This competitive landscape will be crucial in determining the Verna’s success in the market.
Deliveries for the new Verna are expected to start by the end of the month, as Hyundai seeks to capitalize on the festive season in India, traditionally a strong period for car sales.
As the automotive landscape continues to evolve, the response to the Hyundai Verna facelift will be closely monitored. Details remain unconfirmed regarding further developments or additional features that may be introduced in the future.
