Guerrilla 450: What is the Royal Enfield ?

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has been launched, featuring significant upgrades and a new variant, the Apex.

The launch of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 in 2024 marks a significant advancement in the brand’s motorcycle offerings, particularly with the introduction of the new Apex variant. This model aims to enhance rider experience and performance, addressing concerns raised by the outgoing model.

The Guerrilla 450 Apex features sportier ergonomics, with an aluminium handlebar that is positioned 56mm lower and 57mm farther forward than its predecessor. This design change is intended to provide a more aggressive riding posture, appealing to enthusiasts seeking a sportier ride.

Under the hood, the Apex variant is powered by a robust 452cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, generating 40hp and 40Nm of torque. This performance is complemented by road-focused Vredestein tyres, which enhance grip and handling on various surfaces.

In terms of aesthetics, the Guerrilla 450 Apex is available in three striking colors: red, black, and green, allowing buyers to choose a style that suits their personality. The introductory price for this model starts at Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai), making it a competitive option in the market.

The standard Guerrilla model has also seen improvements, with enhanced tyres that offer an 8% increase in dry grip and a 17% improvement in wet grip. These upgrades are designed to boost rider confidence and safety in diverse riding conditions.

Additionally, the Royal Enfield app has been updated to provide riders with more information and ride data, enhancing the overall riding experience. However, it is noteworthy that the Dash variant has been discontinued, streamlining the Guerrilla 450 lineup.

The Guerrilla 450 range is now priced between Rs 2.49 lakh and Rs 2.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai), reflecting the brand’s commitment to offering value alongside performance.

Another feature of the Guerrilla 450 Apex is its rear-seat cowl, which can be removed to reveal a seat underneath, providing versatility for riders who may want to carry a passenger.

The bike also includes a Tripper Dash with Google Maps navigation and smartphone connectivity, catering to modern riders’ needs for technology integration.

As the market responds to the Guerrilla 450, further developments and consumer feedback will shape the future of this model. Details remain unconfirmed regarding any additional features or variants that may be introduced in the coming months.
