Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has officially released a notification for the recruitment of 405 Trade, Technician, and Graduate Apprentice posts. This significant recruitment drive is aimed at providing apprenticeship opportunities across several states in the Western Region of India, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu.

The online application process commenced on March 11, 2026, and will remain open until March 26, 2026. Candidates interested in applying must ensure they meet the age criteria, which stipulates that applicants should be between 18 and 24 years of age as of February 28, 2026.

For the Technician Apprentice positions, candidates are required to possess a three-year full-time diploma in the relevant engineering discipline, with a minimum of 50% marks for the General category and 45% for reserved categories. Meanwhile, Trade Apprentice candidates must have completed Matriculation along with a two-year ITI course in the relevant trade recognized by NCVT or SCVT.

Graduate Apprentice candidates are expected to hold a full-time bachelor’s degree in any discipline, meeting the required minimum marks. Additionally, candidates applying for the Data Entry Operator positions must have completed Class 12, along with any necessary skill certification for the skilled category.

The selection process for these apprenticeship positions will be merit-based, with no written examination or interview required. The apprenticeship training period is set for 12 months, allowing candidates to gain practical experience in their respective fields.

Applications must be submitted through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) or the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portals only. This recruitment initiative is conducted under the Apprentices Act, 1961, emphasizing the importance of vocational training in India.
