The Trump administration, through Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, has aimed to classify Anthropic as a “supply-chain threat to national security,” a historic designation for a U.S. company that would hinder its ability to obtain government contracts in the future.

OpenAI’s Controversial Collaboration

In a united demonstration of solidarity for Anthropic’s position, over 700 staff members from both Google and OpenAI have endorsed an open letter titled, "We Will Not Be Divided," which emphatically concludes:
